Ken López, DVM
Lead Veterinarian, Founder
Dr. López earned his DVM from the University of California in 1995, following undergraduate degrees in Marine Biology and Zoology from Humboldt State University. He later completed a Master of Public Health at the Uniformed Services University and became a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) in 2002.
A retired U.S. Army Veterinary Corps officer, Dr. López has cared for a wide range of species—including military working dogs, primates, dolphins, and sea lions. His clinical interests include birds, reptiles, dogs, cats, and exotic small mammals. He is an active member of the AVMA, ARAV, APV, and AEMV.
Outside of work, Dr. López enjoys hiking and fishing with his wife and three sons—while their Maine Coon kitten, A’Ash, holds down the fort at home.
